Chart:
Step-by-Step Guidelines:
1. This review assumes ground level inspection of your tower.
2. Go to the North facing part of the tower.
3. Hold the Chart I – Light Limit Colors directly over an aviation orange section of your tower as shown in the photos below.
4. Hold the Chart II – Dark Limit Colors directly over an aviation orange section of your tower as shown in the photos below.
5. If the color of your tower is faded to the point where it lands outside the shades of orange on either Chart I or Chart II, then your tower paint does not meet the standard. (See example below).
6. If the color of your tower is still vivid enough to land in between the shades of orange on both Chart I and Chart II, then your tower meets the standard. (See example below).
7. Repeat steps 3 through 6 for the South facing part of your tower.
